2022 Classes & Workshops

We’re back with in-person classes after being closed for two years due to COVID. Yet, life isn’t exactly getting back to normal so this year’s classes and workshops aim to accommodate folks who otherwise may not be able to attend (high gas costs and financial woes for example).  Usually a curriculum and schedule are posted for an entire year, but there’s a need to be more flexible during tough times to accommodate current needs of students.

Many of us feel like we’ve been in a pressure cooker for two years, yet we’re told there’s no “return to normal”, other pressures are building up such as supply chain breakdown, food shortages, grief over lost loves ones, difficulty getting quality healthcare, war. Its evident that each of us needs to master resilience to build a better future for ourselves and each other. All classes this year build on the theme of restoring health and building resilience, using our plant allies along with supportive therapies. Our first workshop is scheduled for May 28-29. Students can sign up for the full two days ($150), just one day ($75), or single sessions ($25 each). Members of the Ozark Farmer’s Network can use it’s currency, the ARK to pay most of the class fee. Workshops and classes will be held at two Eureka Springs, Arkansas locations: Rockspire and Our Medicine Garden. Session 1 :  10am-12

Therapeutic Order / Energetics

Session 2: 12-2pm

  • The Vagus Nerve & Bitters
  • Lunch break
  • Plant walk/meditation (weather permitting)

Session 3: 2-4pm

Restoratives: a category of herbal therapeutics using herbs to restore functions and tissues. Restorative therapeutics is divided into several subcategories. This session covers Demulcents to nourish the Yin & moisten dryness.
